It was impossible to dream up better weather conditions Aug. 28 as renowned actor Mark Wahlberg and Feldman Automotive Group owner and CEO Jay Feldman held their third annual Feldman Automotive Children’s Miracle Celebrity Invitational at Detroit Golf Club.

While the sun radiated over the golf course, light also was once again shining on the Children’s Miracle Network at Beaumont Children’s and the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation.

The annual event was hosted by Beaumont Health Foundation and the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation on Aug. 28, and raised more than $1 million in sponsorship support before the event and secured additional funds during the tournament through a live auction and on-site donations.

DETROIT — Mark Wahlberg returned to Detroit, gathering friends and family for the annual Feldman Automotive Children’s Miracle Celebrity Invitational.

They raised $1.5 million for the Children’s Miracle Network at Beaumont Children’s and the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation.

Celebrity Mark Wahlberg is an actor, rapper, business owner and an RV guy. Wahlberg was in Lorain on Aug. 28 to visit one of his enterprises, Mark Wahlberg Airstream & RV, 4500 Grove Ave. “I am a car and family guy,” said the 52-year-old actor. “My dream was to buy a new car growing up.”

Mark Wahlberg is proud of the mark he has made in the Detroit area, a relationship that began with movies but extended into restaurants, business and philanthropy.

A commercial construction boom — especially that driven by the rapid rise of plant construction for the electric-vehicle industry — is driving some of Southeast Michigan’s fastest-growing companies.

Feldman attended Northwood University as well as the National Auto Dealers Association dealer candidate academy. He opened his first Chevrolet dealership in 1996. Today, he owns 18 car and RV dealerships with 13 car brands and 33 RV brands in Michigan and Ohio that collectively generate $1.7 billion in revenue.

Pet therapy is one of many program supported by the event that raises over $1 million in one day

Quarterback Kyle McCord and wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. were among the seven Buckeyes who took part in a name, image and likeness event at two Mark Wahlberg Chevrolet dealerships Saturday.

The players, who all have cars through their NIL deal with Mark Wahlberg Auto Group, took pictures and signed autographs for fans during the free event.

The Feldman Automotive Children’s Miracle Celebrity Invitational raised more than $1 million for Corewell Health’s Beaumont Children’s and the Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation.
